And the Survey Says…Southern Star Excels at Customer Service and Performance!

Congratulations, Southern Star! Southern Star has performed incredibly well on both the Energy Insights and Mastio & Company customer surveys.
The Energy Insights survey compares Southern Star to itself. Energy Insights polls customers on the importance and performance of specific factors. Participants are asked questions pertaining to quality of service, quality of communication, quality of operations, and product related services.
Since Southern Star has been a stand alone company, its customer survey results have improved each year.
In 2007, Southern Star received the highest average performance score ever: 8.6 on a 10-point scale. 2007 is the first year Southern Star had no performance scores less than 8.0.
When asked to rate Southern Star’s Customer Service compared to the service provided by other pipelines, 56% percent rated Southern Star as much better, 25% rated it better, and 19% rated it about the same. No customer rated Southern Star not as good as or much worse than other pipeline companies.
The Mastio & Company survey ranks Southern Star against other pipelines.
Mastio & Company recently published the 12th edition of its industry wide Natural Gas Pipeline Customer Value/Loyalty Benchmarking Study.
Southern Star was named the Overall Major Pipeline Index Winner.
The Major Pipeline Index consists of pipelines with at least 3,500 miles of transportation pipe and which serve at least three states. The Mastio survey rates the pipelines on 29 attributes, including attentive representatives, effective after-hours support, reliable transportation, and timely resolution of problems.
Southern Star was listed as one of three major pipelines that showed most improved on their overall customer value weighted benefit scores from 2007 to 2008.
